TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie has had a rough start to the wee after suffering a wardrobe malfunction on live TV.
The star revealed she had been wearing her shirt backwards without realizing.
Savannah posted on her Instagram Stories after the show.
After holding out her shirt with a slight smile on her face, she captioned the photo: “Realizing you wore your shirt backwards all morning. #Monday.”
The 50-year-old donned a white ruffled shirt with gray stripes on it, along with a denim skirt.
Savannah held the front of the shirt out to show the tag in the front of it.
She paired the look with a gold necklace, heart earrings, and a full face of make-up.
Luckily, it appeared that the TODAY Show star did not suffer too bad of a wardrobe malfunction as no cleavage was seen on live TV.
She also posted another photo of herself smiling on set which read: “In happier times (before I realized my shirt was backward).”
The mother-of-two returned to the show this week after she has been off for some time.

This wardrobe mishap comes amid her “fight” with Hoda Kotb.
Savannah and Hoda “can’t stand each other” off-camera despite seeming like best friends on television a source exclusively told The Sun.
“Savannah is the boss. After Matt Lauer was ousted, Savannah grabbed power, and she really wanted Willy Geist in Hoda’s role, but his ratings were just not up to par for the network.”
“Hoda out maneuvered Savannah and got the spot,” the insider shared.
Beyond that, the source added that Savannah “thinks of herself as a real news person,” while Hoda is seen as “the lightweight that drank wine with Kathy Lee Gifford.”
“Savannah was the White House correspondent before getting the host job, which also explains her love for Jenna since her father was president.”
Jenna Bush Hager’s father is George W. Bush.
While Jenna is Hoda’s co-host, the insider said she plays both sides between the women.
“Jenna and Savannah are the best of friends, and they ice Hoda out.
“Jenna landed the best job on TV with zero experience- no one works people better than Jenna.”
“She’s a master at playing the game,” the insider added.
FRIENDS ON CAMERA
Hoda and Savannah made history as the first pair of women to co-anchor the Today show after decades on the air.
During a celebration for the show at The Paley Center last month, Savannah – who shared duties with former Today show anchor Matt Lauer prior to the 64-year-old’s firing – spoke about Hoda coming in as his replacement.
“All I know was in that moment, it felt like I could drown if Hoda hadn’t reached down and grabbed my hand.
“I will always say she saved the show full stop. And holding hands with her and being like, ‘We’re going to do this together,’ meant everything to me. I don’t think I had the confidence by myself,” Savannah said.
The TV personality’s kind words didn’t end there as she continued to praise Hoda and the tight relationship they shared.
“It’s wonderful to have a female partnership, but to me, to have this friend and cheerleader and partner, and I really feel that from her, and I hope we share that.
“It’s incredible. I always say, ‘I’ll hold my hands and close my eyes and go anywhere with you.’ I would.”
On July 15, the women appeared to have an awkward moment on air during a cooking segment.
The pair teamed up alongside cookbook author Elizabeth Heiskell.
While the female host attempted to help in the kitchen, both Al Roker and Craig Melvin sat at a table along with three Yankees players Gerrit Cole, Jose Trevino, and Anthony Rizzo.
They were invited to try some of the food on-camera, but fans claimed the segment turned awkward.
As the chef was speaking and Savannah was mixing a salad, Hoda walked over to the table and asked: “Wait – are we done?”
Savannah replied: “Yea that’s it. Moving on. We’ll just move on, we don’t have time for all that.”
Viewers could hear Hoda nervously laughing in the background as a close-up of the camera showed Savannah continuing to mix the salad.
Later, Savannah posted on Instagram sharing an image of the phrase “I’m Not Sorry” which was inside a picture frame.
END IS NEAR?
Fans have predicted that either Savannah or Hoda Kotb will soon be axed from The Today Show amid their alleged on and off-screen drama.
Viewers spotted a major clue as to why one of the stars may be leaving soon, as well as which one they think it will be.
Since their feud was revealed, the duo has barely had any time on-air together.
First, Hoda was off on a week-long vacation, then Savannah took hers.
Though they reunited on the Today Show after that, fans have become concerned that the two are now once again taking turns on the morning program.
After Savannah was absent from the show the week after, she was on during a broadcast, but Hoda was gone again.
Savannah went silent on social media after fans demanded she should be fired after snapping at Hoda.
The TODAY Show airs every day at 7 am.
